Yes, our berries are organically grown and spray-free. We weed the field by hand instead of spraying herbicides and practice careful pruning and management to protect our plants from pests and disease. Rest assured that your family and loved ones will never be exposed to toxic chemicals on our farm.
Walk up the ramp to the shop in the barn to check in. We’ll weigh your containers (if you brought some) or give you containers to use. Then, we’ll take you out to the berry field. After picking, return to the shop to pay for your berries.
You can bring your own containers or use ours. Bowls or buckets work best. If you bring containers, have them weighed in the shop before picking so we can deduct the weight at checkout.
Yes, we’re a family-friendly farm and love to have children come. Children of any age can pick raspberries and blueberries with supervision. They must be 10 years or older to pick blackberries. Horseplay, running in the berry patch, and throwing berries is not allowed.
We have fresh blueberries for sale in the shop during peak season (late July-early August). First-come, first-serve. To reserve some, email or call ahead, then pick up when we’re open. Frozen blueberries are available year-round.
Because the evening is the best time to pick! The grass and plants are wet with dew in the morning. Mid-day, it’s usually too hot to pick. By evening, the oppressive heat gives way to a gentle breeze. The bushes are dry for pleasant, easy picking. Berry picking is a wonderful way to unwind after a busy day and connect with friends and family.
Our berry fields are about 150 feet from the parking lot. We have a covered canopy in the berry patch with chairs and ice water, providing a shady place to rest and refresh if needed.
Yes. There’s a gentle slope leading out to the field. If you can roll through mowed field grass, you should be fine. Please notify us if you need special accommodations or assistance. We’re happy to help!
You can pick blueberries during a light rain. Bring a hat, raincoat, boots, and covered container. Wait for a dry day to pick raspberries, since they get mushy when wet. The field is closed during heavy rain and thunderstorms.
Occasionally, we allow private groups or serious berry pickers to pick by appointment. Please contact us if you’re interested in this option.
Upon arrival, each picker is allowed to sample a couple sun-ripened berries. The rest go in the container until they are paid for. Bountiful bushes of berries don’t just happen. Our family puts in many hours of planting, weeding, fertilizing, pruning, trellising, and mulching to produce this crop. Please be respectful of that.
Please keep your pets at home. For sanitary reasons, they are not allowed in the berry field and shouldn’t be left in the car while picking.
